Landowners will receive compensation for having a pipeline on their property, and Energy Transfer will work closely with each landowner to ensure that their questions or concerns are addressed. Additionally, we will compensate landowners for crop damage. In the process, local real estate appraisers will conduct appraisals to asses property values that will be affection by the pipeline, and Energy Transfer will issue an easement based on the determinate value.
It is our hope to reach an agreement with every landowner throughout the route. To date, the impacted landowners have been notified, either verbally or in a written notice, three times. If a landowner chooses to not enter into discussions with the Dakota Access Pipeline, there are legal options for both the landowner and the company.
